Charleston Lake is in the Thousand Islands Region of Southeastern Ontario. This large beautiful lake has over 100 miles of shoreline due to its many islands and inlets.

Popular with day visitors from the region including Ottawa, Belleville, Cornwall and Upstate New York, it is also has many visitors who stay at the Provincial Park or in accommodations at the lake or in the surrounding area.

The main collection point for participants is the village of Charleston at Charleston Lake, which is located 25 minutes north of Brockville at Hwy 401.

An alternative collection point is at Outlet, at the south end of the lake, which is close to Gananoque and the Thousand Island Bridge. Outlet is 15 minutes north of the 401. (Note that some session time is used to bring the boat from Charleston)

Collections can be made from private docks subject to access. Please enquire.

Charleston via 401

From Brockville, follow Hwy 29 and turn off on 42 to Athens. At the flashing light in Athens, turn left to Charleston. Please drive slowly into the village.

If you are approaching from the north there are a number of routes. Please consult your road map or check out a route online. All the county roads are excellent.

Outlet via 401

Follow County Road 3 (Reynolds Road) from Exit 659 off the 401. Drive through the town of Lansdowne, continuing on County Road 3 (Outlet Road).

When the road slows to 60 and begins to dip through a treed area, keep going slowly. Continue over the bridge, and after 300 metres, turn right onto Burma Lane, which is marked Outlet Boat Ramp.
